This piece was originally done for the Wyoming Conservation Stamp Competition garnering Top 40 Honorable Mention. We have river otters here in Central Idaho and I was able to watch one at a local pond. It's joyful play was the idea for this piece.


I also entered this piece in the River Otter Ecology Project in 2020. The Project is about bringing balance back to the watershed in the Bay Area where the river otter have now returned. "The Swirl of it All" tied for First Place in the Professional Artists Category! You can see the winning entries here:
