A print of this piece was selected to hang in the "Flora of the National Parks" exhibit at the U.S. Botanic Garden in Washington D.C. honoring the 100th Anniversary of the National Parks in 2016. A trip to D.C. ensued where I joined several other artists displaying our craft in the Garden. It was such an honor to be chosen as one of 78 artists from across the country.
Included in this painting are the Blazing Star wildflower, Common Nighthawk, Townsend's Big-eared Bat and Common Poorwill.
